A Barossa Experience – Novotel Barossa

Another family celebration saw us out for a night on the town in the Barossa. This time at the Novotel.

The menu had just changed and we all had a favourite bottles of Barossa’s best tucked under our arms! It was going to be an amazing night!!

For entree the table was laid with lots of choices, from Barramundi spring rolls, oysters, quail, Blue cheese pannacotta (a must try!!) and for me, the vegetable dish. I cannot speak for everybody, but the talking stopped, while the chewing happened – the food was beautiful! The favourite part of my dish was the Torzi Matthew Olives that they had sprinkled over the veg – giving it all a beautiful salty crunch!

For mains again we all had our favourites – the boys had steak and the ladies had a mixture of things – for me the Lamb Rack with Ratalouille! Perfect with our bottle of Balthazar that we had laid down from ’02.

For me the true highlight was the dessert! Petit Pots of Berry Souffle – 3 different flavours, all left us wanting more! It was a big night for my dear mother who was celebrating another year of wisdom – and it truly was the perfect setting.
